Stainless Steel 321/321H Buttweld Fittings consist of 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and a minimum 5x carbon content titanium for stabilizing the structure against carbide precipitation. 321H has a higher carbon content for enhanced high-temperature strength. These fittings have a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and 35% elongation. They have very good mechanical properties up to 870°C. The titanium stabilization improves the weldability as well as intergranular corrosion resistance, so they are suitable for use in applications involving continuous or repeated heat exposure.
