Stainless Steel 904L Forged Fittings contain around 19–23% chromium, 23–28% nickel, 4–5% molybdenum, and 1–2% copper. This alloy austenitic stainless steel with high resistance is highly resistant to corrosive and strong reducing acids such as sulfuric acid. Its mechanical properties are tensile strength of approximately 490 MPa, yield strength of 220 MPa, and elongation of 35%. Low carbon content increases weldability and reduces the occurrence of sensitization. Its strength and corrosion resistance are not affected even in harsh environments, providing long-term stability in acidic, saline, or chloride-rich environments.
