Inconel 601 Pipe Fittings contain a major portion of Nickel (58–63%), Chromium (21–25%), and Iron with minor additions of Aluminum (1–1.7%), Manganese (≤1%), Silicon (≤0.5%), and Carbon (≤0.1%). Such an ideal alloy mix offers superior resistance to oxidation and corrosion even at high temperatures. In terms of mechanical properties, Inconel 601 has minimum tensile strength of 550 MPa, minimum yield strength of 205 MPa, and minimum elongation of 30%, which retains its shape up to 1200°C. These properties render it as a best-suited material for use in high-stress thermal and chemically corrosive conditions.
