Inconel 617 Forged Fittings consist mostly of nickel (50–60%), chromium (20–24%), cobalt (12–16%), and molybdenum (8–10%), with iron as a balance element and trace additions of aluminum and carbon. This superior alloy provides high oxidation resistance, carburization resistance, and thermal fatigue strength. It has tensile strength of up to 1250 MPa, yield strength of about 400 MPa, and better creep resistance at high temperature. These fittings also possess good weldability and dimensional stability and are therefore suitable for extended use in high-temperature service conditions.
