The main constituents of Alloy Steel WP11 Buttweld Fittings are molybdenum (0.44–0.65%) and chromium (1–1.5%), with trace amounts of silicon, manganese, and carbon (0.05–0.15%). Excellent resistance to heat, oxidation, and corrosion is provided by this composition. In order to improve mechanical strength and ductility, these fittings are usually heat-treated (normalised and tempered). WP11 fittings have an elongation of about 20%, a yield strength of at least 205 MPa, and a tensile strength of 415–585 MPa. They provide exceptional structural stability and resistance to thermal fatigue and creep because they are made to endure extended exposure to high temperatures and pressures.
